Madayaw! Just in time for the Kadayawan season here in Davao City, I discover Sweet Advocate a one-stop cake and pastries shop along Arellano St. corner Tionko Ave. (back of Central Bank) Davao City.
This shop specialized on customized cakes and cupcakes, dessert stations, pica-pica cocktails, wedding and party favors.

You can avail 6 pieces of Yema, or Durian Cream Cake in a Jar for only P488 for 100ml size; P888 for 200ml size.
I tried their Yema cake first and I must say I’m for team Yema flavor. Though desserts are created to be naturally sweet, I think we all have a dosage for sweetness and that’s why I love it because it’s not too sweet and it makes me savor the flavor itself.
After Yema flavor, I also tried a slice of Durian cream and it made me a little confuse between which will I recommend first, Durian Cream or the Yema one. What I like with Durian Cream is its richness of durian taste because as per Ms. Charisse Dagohoy, Manager of Sweet Advocate, the durian cream is not just mixed in the frosting of it but the entire mixture of the cake. One more thing I love with both flavors is it’s not foamy like that of a usual chiffon cake. It’s compact and it melts in your mouth.
Fortunately, you can mix your orders if you can’t decide if you’re for Team Yema or Team Durian Cream just like me. Well, that’s one big good news right =)
